I get a text at work yesterday reporting another TMPS light, so I did what any of us would have done.......
Ask if a tire is flat
Ask if any of them are noticeably low.
Ask where the car is.
Since the answers were “No,” “No,” and “Home,” I continued to do what any of us would do. Wait until I got home.
Welcome to the adventure of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! where I unfortunately document the bad luck Mrs McMike has with keeping air in all four of her tires.
I found that one was low, but since it was
ten
pounds low, I pulled off the tire and found this. I plugged it, and put it back on the car.
She has had this car for only 6,263 miles, and it has already seen two punctures.

That’s awesome that you have a little bin set up for all the stuff she picks up in her tires.
A couple of years back my wife picked up something in one of my tires. It ended up being a metal ink pen, that was about 5 inches long. Not sure how that got stuck in there. Anyway, the shop kept the souvenir in a coffee can of all the stuff they’ve pulled out of tires. There was some really weird stuff in there, including a couple of stubby screwdrivers.

My MIL came over after work to visit my wife and gossip about work as my wife used to work there. Mentioned something like this I look at it and it turns out to be a masonry drill bit.
I jack up car, remove, Mark tire, take to neighborhood Firestone place and have them patch it. It was almost new last year when it happened.

I should really make a cup like that for me
I have a terrible relationship with tires. And that damn light.

Since garages usually charge $15-20 to plug a tire, and they aren’t open around the clock, and are rarely next door, this is the Best $12 I ever spent.

For a second, I thought you meant the car texted you and I was like “That’s neat.”
Sorry. Running on lack of sleep.
Anyway, my wife got a roofing nail in her CX-5's factory tires. Now it has new Goodyears, but there’s a phantom vibration at speed. We have had its alignment and balance checked multiple times and it’s all fine. I found a huge brown streak on the front right tire and she admitted she hit a curb. 99% sure that wheel is slightly bent. The vibration is so slight that I’m not worried about it, though.

Crazy thing is we got a mild puncture on the way back from South Carolina yesterday. Happened sometime in a construction area on I-77. A 1/8" wide sliver of rock that was almost needle or tooth-like caused a slow leak that tripped the TPMS light. We could travel for 1 hour or more between stopping to air the right rear tire. I could see the piece of rock and we had two cars on the trip so I just stayed rolling. I could air the tire to 38 and it would be 26-29 psi at each stop. Only added 30 minutes to an 11 hour drive so it wasn’t too bad. I thought the object was a nail head until I dug it out today. Plugged the tire at home just an hour ago. Took the tire off the car so I could inspect it all over and spray soapy water everywhere to make sure that was the only leak. We had driven through a bunch of construction areas with rock and stones about so I’m certain it was picked up in those.
